UNIT1 Where did you go on vacation?

I arrived in Chengdu this morning with my parents. It was sunny and warm, so we decided to go for a walk near our hotel. We saw many pretty buildings and lots of good restaurants. For lunch, we had hot pot. It was very spicy but delicious. I love sichuan food! In the afternoon, we went to see pandas in the zoo. Pandas are my favorite animal because they’re so cute. I was happy to know people are trying their best to save this endangered animal. In the evening , we went shopping along chunxi Road and bought many things.
Unit2 How often do you exercise?
I have a lot of good habits. I usually arrive at school on time and I always do my homework. Also, I hardly ever stay up late and I exercise every day. However, I have some bad habits too. I often play computer games for more than two hours a day,and I sometimes ride my bike too fast. I eat chocolate four or five times a week, and I hardly ever eat vegetables.
UNIT3 I’m more outgoing than my sister.
WangLingling’s best friend is Liu Lili. They are both ball and they both have straight hair, but Lingling’s hair is longer. Lingling likes reading, but Lili likes sports. Lingling and Lili are both popular and outgoing. However, Lingling is more serious and hard-working than Lili, and Lili is funnier and smarter than Lingling.
Mike is my best friend. Some people think we are brothers because he looks like me. We both have long, curly hair. We are short and quite thin. We are both smart and we enjoy studying together.
I am also good friends with Paul, but we are so different! Paul is taller than me and he has very short hair. Paul is more outgoing than me. He is funnier and more popular,too. But I am smarter than him at school.
Unit4 What’s the best movie theater?
I live in zhouzhuang in Jiangsu. It is one of the oldest and most beautiful towns in China.
There aren’t many roads in zhouzhuang, and I think that’s the best thing about this town. We don’t have cars and buses because we use boats to get around town.Many people visit the town throughout the year, and they enjoy going on the boat tours to see the entire town.
There are many special snacks for visitors to buy in zhouzhuang,such as sesame cakes and walnut cakes. Visitors should also try the wansan pork shank, the most famous dish in zhouzhuang. To me, the best place to eat wansan pork shank is my father’s restaurant. It is in the center of the town and everyone knows it. It is very crowded in the summer.
UNIT5 Do you want to watch a game show?
Red Cliff is an exciting historical movie. The movie is about a famous battle that took place in southern China in 208 AD. The Prime Minister cao cao forces the Emperor Han to go to war with the kongdoms of Shu and East Wu. To protect themselves, the kingdoms of Shu and East Wu decide to form a partnership to fight against Cao Cao and his army. I enjoyed the movie very much. I think it is a great movie with a lot of good action scenes and strong characters. If you like
history, you should watch Red Cliff.
UNIT6 I’m going to study computer science.
The second resolution is about improving y physical health. I am going to try a new sport such as ping pong and paly it two or three times a week. Playing more sports will help me to become healthier and I will not fall ill so often.
The third resolution is about improving my relationships with my family and friends. I am going to spend more time with my family. Maybe we can take up a new hobby together! Doing more things together with my family will make my family happy. I am also going to help my family more. For example , I can help them with their English homework if there is anything they don’t understand. Helping my friends will show them that I care about them and that they are important to me.
The last resolution is about how to do better at school. I am going to read more books in English. That is going to help me learn more English words. I know I can keep this resolution because reding is fun.
UNIT7 Will people have robots?
In 20 years, I think I’ll be a teacher. I’ll live in xi’an, because it’s a wonderful city. Lots of people from China and other countries visit that city, so I’ll meet lots of interesting people. I’ll live in an apartment near my school so I don’t have to travel much. I may have more free time, so I’ll spend more time with my friends. I’ll see them on the weekend and we’ll play socce every Saturday. We’ll also do some other interesting activities toghther, such as hiking in the national parks.
UNIT8 How do you make a banana milk shake?
It is very easy to make your own delicious burger. You need beef, bread buns, lettuce, onions and sauce. First, cut the bread bun and cook it. Next, cut the lettuce and onion. Put some lettuce and onion on the bun and add some sauce. Then, use your hands to shape the beef into a ball. Next, flatten the ball of beef to form a beef patty. Then , cook the patty on both sides. Finally, put the patty on the bottom half of the bun, add more lettuce, onion and sauce, and put the other half of the bun on top. Enjoy your burger!
UNIT9 Can you come to my party?
Dear Huang Lei,
I would like to invite you to a going away party for my brother. He is going to university in Wuhan.
The party will be at my house on Saturday, August 15th. You do not need to bring anything. My parents are serving food and drinks from 7:30. After the meal, everyone can dance.

My friend also has two other problems. To begin with, her parets are very busy and they are always too tired to spend time with her. I think she should try to help out at home more. If she
does some of the housework and cooking,her parents will not be so tired. If her parents are not so tired, they will spend more time with her, and everyone will be happy.
The other problem is she quarreled with her best friend a few days ago. Since it was a misunderstanding, I think she should have a talk with her best friend and try to work things out. If they can get over their quarrel, they will not be angry with each other anymore.
