比如说,英语谚语love me, love my dog(爱屋及乌)不能换成love my house, love my bird。

英语谚语:Seeing is believing.

Well begun is half done.

Silence gives consent.

L’union fait la force,

Les grands esprits se rencontrent.

英语谚语:Self do, self have.

Waste not, want not.

Harm set, harm get.

Tel pr tel fils.

英语谚语:Better bend than break.

Better slip with foot than tongue.

Better late than never.

Deux avis valent mieux qu’un seul.

There is nothing but is good for something.

There is no royal road to learning.

There is no rule without an exception.

法语谚语:Il n'y a que le premier pas qui coute.

Il n'y a pas de fumes sans feu.

(Il n'y a )Point de roses sans pines

如英语谚语中的“Love me, love my dog(爱屋及乌); Every dog has his day(谁都有得意的时候)”,以及法语中的“Bon chien chasse de race(龙门出虎子)”。
