Nowadays there is a growing concern for the English test of band four and band six. Some people agree that the test should be continued. Others in thttp://www.fanwen99.cnhe contrast, believe that it should be abolished.
As a popular saying goes, “Everything has two sides.” Many college students are so wandering that they cannot study well. Therefore the test is a guarantee for college students. In addition, the test has existed for 20 years, it is mature. So it will arouse their motivation to study more effectively. But it does not mean that it is perfect. It is harmful for us to only learn the textbook rather than the marrow of this subject.
As for me, I take the view that the test is more beneficial than harmful. Only handling well the relationship between study and test, can we study well and get good grades in the test.
Since Yao Ming joined NBA in 2002 , the discussion about if he can be a super star has never been terminated. As we know , Yao is a quite high and strong plahttp://www.fanwen99.cnyer in NBA. And depending on his height and
weight ,Yao can contorl the restricted area easily just like O'Neil. Besides his body , his skills are more comprehensive than other centers.By this I mean comparing with other same-position players , Yao is very sucessful because he can use more advantages to face different players. In this aspect , Yao has already been a super star. On the other hand , Only playing well is not enough to make a man become a god. Why poeple pay more attention on Kobe , James , Iverson ? those players are not only playing well , but also mark matchs with their own signs. They make their matchs differ from others. Although they may have weaknesses , poeple still like to watch theie performance. So , if Yao can put his feature into matchs , it will be soon to get a great achievement.
All in all , in my view point , Yao has a good future considering his ability and faith.

Lin Zexu (Chinese: 林则徐; pinyin: Lín Zéxú) (August 30, 1785 - November 22, 1850) was a Chinese scholar and official during the Qing dynasty. He is most famous for his active fight against opium smuggling in Guangzhou, which is
usually considered to be the primary catalyst for the First Opium War 1839-42.
Lin was born in Fuzhou, in the Fujian province. In 1811 he received the Jinshi degree, the highest title in the imperial examinations, and the same year he was appoinyed to the prestigeous Hanlin Academy. He rose rapidly through various grades of provincial service, and became Governor-General of Hunan and Hubei in 1837.
A formidable bureaucrat known for his thoroughness and integrity, Lin was sent to Guangdong to halt the importation of opium by the British prior to the First Opium War (1838). He confiscated more than 20,000 chests of opium already at the port and supervised their destruction. He later blockaded the port from European ships. Lin also wrote a letter to Queen Victoria of Britain warning her that China was adopting a stricter policy towards everyone, Chinese or foreign, who brought opium into China. This letter expressed a desire that Victoria would act
published in The Times . Open hostilities between China and Britain started in 1839.
Lin's failure to secure a decisive victory against the British led to his
replacement by Qishan in September 1840. As punishment for his failures, he was demoted and sent to exile in Ili in Xinjiang. However, the Chinese
government still considered Lin to be an official of rare virtue, and sent him off to take care of difficult situations. He died in 1850 while on the way to Guangxi, where the government was sending him to help put down the Taiping
Rebellion. He was a patriot of ability who attained an international reputation as
June 3, the day when Lin confiscated the crates of opium, is celebrated as Anti-Smoking Day in the Republic of China in Taiwan. Manhattan's Chatham Square, in Chinatown, contains a statue of Lin, commemorating his early struggle against drug use.
Volunteerism may be one of the most significant achievements of the country, arising from its two deadliest earthquakes in less than two years.
The April 14 earthquake in Yushu of Qing Hai province has proven to be as merciless as the one that hit Wenchuan in Sichuan province almost two years ago. But Hong Kong volunteer Huang Furong's death sends a message: That the altruism displayed by many people in Yushu county's ongoing rescue and relief work provides the ray of hope that gives us the courage to take on natural
disasters and contribute to the building of an even brighter future.
Huang could have survived the Yushu quake had he not returned to rescue three students and a teacher trapped inside a collapsed building. He rushed into the building twice to save others, until he himself was trapped inside.
Huang reportedly once said it would be
As a truck driver from Hong Kong, he was already volunteering at a school in Yushu when the earthquake struck. In 2002, he traveled by foot from Hong Kong to Beijing in seven months to collect funds for a Chinese bone marrow bank. He also transported relief material to help victims of the May 12, 2008 Wenchuan tremor.
Like what fuels many volunteers, Huang believed that the real meaning of life lies in the amount of service one can provide for others.
The number of volunteers and voluntary organizations has been on the rise since the Wenchuan earthquake. The quake helped more realize that people still need help from each other, to make the world a better place to live.
Volunteerism may be one of the most significant achievements of the
country, arising from its two deadliest earthquakes in less than two years.
Hopefully, such volunteerism may extend to more fields beyond that of rescue and relief work for natural disasters. We need better mechanisms to encourage and support voluntary activities.

Last summer, my family and I went to Hawaii for a holiday! We flew across the Pacific to the tiny island from Beijing. After we booked into a hotel, we rested.
Ourhttp://www.fanwen99.cn fun started the next day and lasted for two long weeks.
During our time there, we ate delicious exotic food and drank numerous fruit juices.
The Hawaiians are very proud of their unique food, often 'spiced up' with slices of juicy pineapple and strings of delicious cheese. There were also fantastic beaches right accoss the tiny atoll. The water was sparkling blue and the sand dunes radiated with an inviting warmth of gold.
The place was wonderful and the locals were really nice; I really enjoyed my holiday.
