My grandparents can be good fun. They are retired, so they don’t work anymore. My grandfather is 68 and my grandmother is 67, but they are not too old to be active. When you want to go shopping, you will decide how much money you can pay for new clothes and think about the kind of clothes you really need. Then you just only look for those clothes. There’re labels(标签) inside all new clothes. The labels tell you how to take care of your clothes. The labels may say “dry-clean only”. If you put these clothes into the
water to wash them, you may ruin(损坏) them.
Many clothes today must be dry-cleaned. Dry-cleaning is expensive. So when you buy new clothes, check if they will need to be dry-cleaned. You’ll save money if your clothes can be washed in water.
You can save money also if you buy clothes that are well-made. Well-made clothes last longer. They look good even after they have been washed many times. People usually talk about two groups of colours: warm colours and cool colours. Scientists think that there are also two groups of people: people who prefer warm colours and people who prefer cool colours.
The warm colours are red, orange and yellow. Where there are warm colours and a lot of light, people usually want to be active(活跃的). People think that red example is exciting sociable (善交
际的) people, those who like to be with others like red. The cool colours are green, blue and purple. These colours unlike warm colours, are relaxing. Where there are cool colours, people are usually quiet. People who like to spend time alone often prefer blue.
Red may be exciting but one scientist says that time seems to pass more slow in a room with warm colours than in a room with cool colours. He suggested that a warm colour such as red or orange, is a good colour for a living room or a restaurant.
People who are relaxing(休闲)or eating don‟t want time to pass quickly. Cool colours are
better for offices of factories as the people who work there want time to pass quickly. Scientist don‟t know why people think some colours are warm and other colours are cool.
However, almost everyone agree that warm colours remind (使想起) people of warm days and
cool colours remind them of cool days. Because in the north the sun is low during winter, the sunlight appears quite blue. Because the sun higher during summer, the hot summer sunlight appears yellow.

Germs(细菌) are everywhere. You can’t see them, but they are on your desk, on your computer, and even in the air!
Like people, germs move around the world. They fly with us on planes. When food, clothes, and other things travel around the world, germs travel, too. Some germs are safe, but some are dangerous. Germs cause illnesses like colds and the flu.
Warmer Weather Brings Germs
The world’s weather is changing. Cooler countries are getting warmer, so insects from hot germs cause headaches, fever, and can even kill people.
Under Your Skin
Your skin protects you from germs. It stops some germs, but not all. They can enter your body when you eat, or when you have a cut. Germs are on your hands, too. They enter your body when you touch your eyes, nose, or mouth.
Your immune system(免疫系统) protects you, too. When germs get inside your body, your immune system finds and kills them. Special cells(细胞) move around your body and fight germs.
They help you stay healthy. Other cells make antibodies. Antibodies help your body find and stop germs.
